On April 30, the Common Cause: Victorious March event will start in Caliber, and the thematic Storm mode will return!
You will have to take on the role of Soviet and American soldiers during the Second World War and together reach a German bunker in order to obtain secret intel about the experimental V-weapons.
Your path will be difficult and extremely dangerous: fascist covering forces, mines, mortar strikes, and rough terrain won’t let you relax even for a minute.
The Storm mode isn’t an easy challenge. Learn more about fighters’ characteristics and event Reserves in advance to prepare for any turn of the battle!
The event is available from April 28 to June 18.
There are four thematic operators in your fireteam: two of them are from the Soviet Army, the other two — from the US Army.
Each of them is armed with their own weapons and has a unique ability. In battle, you will be able to enhance your fighters with additional upgrades to adapt to any situation.
Zakhar «Shalnoy» Kondratiev, age 27.
A former juvenile delinquent who wound up in an orphanage where he learned about social responsibility and left his street ways behind, while keeping some of his recklessness and fondness for risk-taking. He went through a series of jobs and was working as a high rigger at industrial construction sites when the war broke out. He was called up for duty and served in a recon company. He took many PoWs and participated in high-risk operations on several occasions. He’s been awarded the medals For Courage and For Battle Merit, but values his wristwatch, a gift from his regiment commander, a lot more.
Charles «Tail» Young, age 24.
Charlie was never into planes and couldn’t have imagined joining the air force one day. When the war began, he volunteered and, much to his own surprise, found himself at a flying academy, where he would be trained as a bomber’s rear gunner. Behind the rear turret may not be the most comfortable seat on a plane, but it may be the important. Tail gunners cover the most vulnerable angles of these rather graceless flying machines, and run the greatest risks. Statistics say tail gunners are lost to enemy fire more often than any other crew member. However, Charlie was undaunted and kept his calm even when his plane was assigned to a secret mission in Europe. What’s more, after his bomber was brought down, Young took his favorite Browning off the turret and, without hesitation, went out to keep fighting the Nazis.
Jack «Corpsman» Burns, age 26.
A civilian hospital orderly who volunteered for the armed forces when the war began. Infatuated with risk and extreme experiences, he chose the airborne assault forces at his recruiting office. Jack wanted to get to the frontline as soon as possible, only to find that he would have to undergo months of training first. So, when the OSS came looking for volunteers for a covert operation, Jack was the first to step forward. He and five other airborne troops were put into the bomb bay of a Flying Fortress. It was only after the plane had taken off that they were told that they’d be landing in Europe, near the Soviet frontline. What their exact mission was to be, Jack never found out. The bomber was shot down. Jack and the tail gunner were the only survivors.
Semion «Ptitsa» Ptitsa, age 30.
Coming from generations of hunters, Semion was one of the best rangers in his district from a young age. After the war began, he volunteered for the frontline but, as a valuable specialist, wasn’t permitted to go until 1942. His excellent marksmanship saw him placed in a sniper school almost immediately. Ptitsa has since proved to be an excellent marksman. He has taken part in several bold, high-risk operations and has eliminated over a hundred enemy troops and officers. A holder of several awards, he nonetheless considers his kill count more important than the medals he’s received for it. He therefore never wears them, but carries around a notebook in which he records every successful shot.
The ally fireteam has a number of unique mechanics:
Each fighter has a Special trait with three levels of upgrades. In every new match, you will have to level up from scratch.
Assault and Support upgrade their Special traits by eliminating enemies. Marksman gets his upgrades only by eliminating enemies with headshots, and Medic by healing teammates.
Completing mission sub-objectives allows for faster Special trait upgrading for all fighters, adding +25% to the current progress.
Every fighter has his own number of SP. Medic has the most: he is the one who has to move around constantly and heal his comrades. Next come Assault, Support, and, finally, Marksman.
Stamina recovery speed is increased to 8 SP/sec.
Any fighter can revive himself after being incapacitated by using a Revival Kit.
Medic has five kits that he can use for a self-revival or saving his teammates. The rest have one Revival Kit each.
The final upgrade level of the Medic’s Special trait will allow you not only to heal, but also to restore Stamina to teammates. And Marksman will receive expanding bullets, increasing his firing effectiveness.
You can always check your soldiers’ features in battle by pressing [F1].
Only special reserves can be used in Storm.
The number of reserves in each fight is fixed. But you have to choose between Water Supply and Spare Ammo for your 1st slot, and between Morphine and Field Bonus for your 2nd slot. You can change your selection before each fight.
With the second chapter of the Common Cause: Victorious March event, modifiers will appear in the Storm mode.
A set of modifiers will depend on the result of the previous chapter: if community completes the objectives successfully, battles will become easier thanks to positive modifiers. If the stage ends with a defeat, negative effects will be activated which will make each battle more difficult.
he Storm mode, in comparison to its 2023 version, received a number of adjustments that made battles more dynamic and intense:
