Snowballs instead of firearms—the New Year Gift Hunt event is back!
From December 10 to January 21, you will be collecting gifts, throwing snowballs at enemies, and trying not to get caught by Mad Ded in the special holiday game mode.
Gain Snowflakes and spend them in the thematic in-game store—there are lots of festive rewards!
The mode's name speaks for itself: your objective is to find and deliver 45 gifts to your festive cart before the enemy team.
But it’s not that easy as you may think. Enemies can incapacitate you, steal gifts right out of your cart, and Mad Ded will spawn on the map from time to time. He’s aggressive to all players and brings more chaos to the battle.
Besides, just after Mad Ded is gone, random modifying effects will be activated: Invisible, Haste, Marked, doubled Gifts spawn, etc. Keep an eye on the screen announcements—the right effect can completely turn the situation on the battlefield in your favor.
There are four operators available in this mode, each with his own character and winter ability:
In the holiday mode, you will get 100 Snowflakes for each victory and 20 Snowflakes for each defeat.
And if you activate a New Year Booster, you will get a tenfold bonus: 1000 Snowflakes for each victory and 200 Snowflakes for each defeat.
The Booster activates before battles—you decide when to use it to get the maximum benefit!
How to obtain a Booster: complete all three weekly objective stages or purchase it on the Holiday Showcase for Coins.
Snowflakes can be obtained for daily objectives and during different out-of-game activities, so be sure to follow us on our social media, so you won’t miss anything!
Along with the update release, a thematic store will become available. On the Showcase, there will be the Blizzard Epic Outfit for Medic Kaval, Credits, Team Reserves, a Gift Hunt Container, and, of course, the essential part of New Year— an opportunity to launch festive fireworks.
The Epic Outfit will be available for purchasing until January 21, so don’t miss it!
Epic Outfits, HQ Backgrounds, Emotes, Emblems, Camos, Credits, Fragments, Days of Premium, and Team Reserves can be found in the container.
There are two new items: the Clear Ice Emblem and the Winter Park HQ Background.
What you will get from the container is a matter of chance. But on the 100th opening, the Winter Park HQ Background will be a guaranteed drop. You may get it earlier, but if there’s no luck on your side, you know what to do!
Don’t forget about festive fireworks, so you can delight all the players!
Three types of fireworks are available on the New Year Showcase: single-color, multicolor, and signed fireworks. When bought, all these fireworks will be put in a shared queue to be launched. The signature fireworks are also accompanied with the name of the launching player and a random message with congratulations.
When the event ends, all unused Snowflakes and New Year Boosters will be automatically converted into Credits. The exchange rate can be found on the picture below. Active Premium provides a more profitable exchange rate.
The Gift Hunt event is an amazing reason to gather a team, have fun together, and earn festive rewards.
Hunt for gifts, launch fireworks, and create a real New Year atmosphere in Caliber!
