Clan Wars: Changes and Improvements

Hello, soldiers!

It’s been three months since Clan Wars were launched. All this time we’ve been closely monitoring battles, analyzing gaming experience, as well as finding and fixing critical bugs.

On February 18, a new Clan Season will be released together with a number of changes and improvements for Clan Wars.

COMBAT OPERATIONS: NOW ON SATURDAYS

In the beginning of Clan Wars, the main stage—Combat Operations—took place on Thursdays. This wasn’t an accident: a new system required permanent monitoring and a possibility to respond instantly to critical errors.

After three months, we’ve decided to move the Combat Operations stage to Saturdays. The time remains the same: from 4 PM to 6 PM UTC.

We hope that the new schedule will allow more players to participate in battles.

Due to these changes, the Clan Armory Showcase updates will take place on Sundays at 6 AM UTC.

DAILY OBJECTIVES

In the Clan Objectives section, beside permanent objectives, there will be daily ones as well. Their main goal is to become a part of an upcoming mechanic about which we will talk later.

With the update release, you will be able to complete these objectives and help your clan move up the rating table and earn Clan Credits.

COMMANDERS AND OFFICERS

By popular request, we expand the list of roles that can choose regions and sectors during the Battle Preparations stage and send participants into battles during the Combat Operations stage.

Now, Commanders and Officers will be able to do this.

SECTORS AND REGIONS

As time passed, domination of big clans became obvious. And that’s unsurprising: the most active and motivated players are in these clans, and they are able to regularly take control over chosen sectors and regions during the Battle Preparations stage.

Our goal is to provide conditions that allow more clans to participate in Clan Wars and increase their chances for victory.

Next season, there will be the following balance changes:

  • The number of regions available for capturing is now 1 instead of 2.
  • The number of sectors available for capturing is now 3 instead of 4.

As before, we will closely monitor how these changes will affect battles. We hope that the map will become more dynamic, and battles will become more unpredictable and intense.

ATTACK LICENSE TICKETS

Ticket base limit is decreased from 50 to 20. This change was made in order to motivate clans to participate in battles more actively instead of storing up Tickets.

A reminder: Tickets will not be transferred to the next season. Use them to reach the highest results.

CLAN UPGRADES

After adding this mechanic, clans upgrade faster than we initially expected. This affects both gained XP and earned Clan Credits.

To save the progression tempo and upgrade value, from February 18, we increase:

  • the number of XP required for increasing Clan level.
  • the number of Clan Credits required for upgrades.

COMBAT RESERVES AND XP BOOSTERS

Clan Wars allow to earn a lot of currency which has already made Team Reserves and XP Boosters less valuable.

To fix this situation, we’ll add a weekly limit for their purchasing.

  • Combat Reserves—up to 20.
  • XP booster—up to 3.

Please note that with the start of the new season, the Clan Armory will refresh each Sunday at 6 AM UTC.

WHAT’S NEXT?

These are not all the changes that we have planned.

We see that some players are still struggling to get into the Clan Wars system, so we’re working on UI improvements. We will release these changes once they’re ready.

After the 1.3.1 update release, we’ll continue to analyze the Clan Wars and add fixes if necessary.

Thank you for your interest and feedback on our social media channels.

See you on the battlefield!
