Hello, everyone!
In the 1.4.0 update, the Emir Residence map will change a lot. We’ll update the map’s appearance, rework its geometry, and add new areas, routes, and positions. All these changes will provide more variety to battles and more options for tactical moves.
Other improvements include a new PvE mission and return of the Onslaught: Reinforcement mode. Also, the map will host the Threshold and Hacking modes for the first time ever.
Red Scorpion’s location has been established: he’s hiding in the residence on the outskirts of the capital which is controlled by Al-Thurir.
Cobalt Two operators have received an objective: capture the target. And eliminate it if necessary.
The residence is heavily fortified: a large number of enemies are hiding inside the building, and stockings of explosives may be kept there.
You will be able to hunt down the head of Al-Thurir in the Point Sweep and Special Operation modes.
Emir Residence will change significantly: the map’s appearance will be redesigned, and some sections will be totally reworked.
Most changes will affect all modes, however, in some areas you will see differences that will be related to certain objectives.
The main improvements are listed below.
Added new areas: now each team has an access to high grounds at their sides.
It levels the difference between the teams and makes control of the key positions more equal.
These areas will be used in the Threshold mode and in the new PvE mission.
Dividing walls, which blocked the straight way to the residence, were removed.
Now you can get to the building more quickly without having to go around extra obstacles.
Added a new corridor that makes changing positions easier and grants a quick access to the palace’s interior and the second floor.
This increases the variety of routes and grants new opportunities for unexpected movements.
The center of the map will become more accessible because of the new passages.
Now, you will have more routes to the map center instead of the previous two.
It’s one of the most vulnerable areas: a kill zone that has almost no covers.
Now, a fountain will be placed at the center of the area, so you will be able to hide behind it. Several boxes will be added as well.
This will make this area more safe and convenient to play in.
In PvE modes, a helipad area will become accessible. It will be wider and get some covers. Also, it will be used when completing objectives.
