Clan system in Caliber

Hello, everyone!

Clans are coming very soon, and we’re eager to share some details on this new mechanic.

WHAT IS A CLAN?

A clan is an alliance of players sharing common goals and interests. Join an existing clan or create your own to complete clan season objectives and earn top places in the leaderboards. Invite your clanmates to join fireteams, or just enjoy your favorite modes together.

CREATING A CLAN

Any player can create a clan. It costs 250,000 Credits or 1000 coins.

When creating a clan, you need to specify:

  • Clan name: a unique name containing 2 to 20 Latin characters.
  • Clan tag: a unique short name containing 2 to 5 characters.
  • Clan language: the language used to communicate within your clan.
  • Clan joining policy: open, by request, or by invitation. By invitation means that your clan will be visible on the clan list, but can only be joined by invitation from the clan leader or officers.
  • Account level required to join.
  • Clan info (optional): describe your clan goals to make it easier for like-minded players to find you.

Keep in mind that all of the parameters listed above can be changed at any time, except for the name and tag, which require a special token to change (can be purchased through our site).

Creating a clan makes you its leader, which allows you to accept other players to your clan.

The clan leader has the power to disband the clan. Pressing the corresponding button triggers a 7-day countdown, during which time you can reconsider. When the time runs out, the clan will be permanently disbanded.

SEARCHING FOR A CLAN

Use the search option in the Clan Rating tab to find a specific clan or browse through the list.

Open clans can be joined right away or by submitting a join request, if required, on that same tab.

CLAN LEVEL

A level 1 clan can have up to 10 members, including its creator. The higher the clan’s level, the more members it can have.

Only the clan leader can increase the clan level.

ROLES AND CLAN MANAGEMENT

There are four clan roles: leader, officer, fighter, and recruit.

The clan leader, who is also its creator, has full management rights.

The officers help the leader to manage the clan, and thus are granted all leadership powers besides altering clan settings, changing its name and tag, or disbanding the clan.

A fighter is a regular clan member with access to the clan chat. Each player is assigned this role automatically upon becoming a clan member.

A recruit is a member with no access to the clan chat. Use this role for restricting new members’ activities, or punitively for those who misbehave in chat.

The clan leader can reassign their role to another clanmate. Beware, though, that this action is irreversible. Only the player given the leader role can reassign it back to you.

CLAN MEMBERS

Your Clan tab on the right of the screen shows clan members. Each member has the following parameters: role, Season Points, Extra Points, status, and date of joining.

Member status shows if a clanmate is online or in battle, if they are searching for a battle, or waiting in the HQ. Use this tab to quickly assemble a fireteam for co-op.

CLAN CHAT

For convenience, the clan chat is available in the HQ. Use it to plan your co-op play or just to chat with your clanmates.

The Clan Announcement tab allows you to inform clan members about upcoming events.

CLAN SEASONS

All clans participate in Clan Seasons. Each player earns Season Points for their clan by completing clan objectives.

The first Clan Season will take place between July 31 and October 23.

Clan objectives never end. You can complete each objective again and again, contributing to your clan’s success. You don’t have to choose an objective—they will keep netting you Season Points while you enjoy the game.

You gain additional Season Points by winning in any game mode with a fireteam comprised of your clanmates.

CLAN RATING

Clan Rating evaluates your clan activity and counts in the Total Rating competition. The more Season and Extra Points your clan earns, the more Reputation it gets at the end of the Season (max. 1000).

In the first Season, you can only earn Extra Points by converting Extra XP. Exchange rate: 2,500 Extra XP = 1 Extra Point.

On October 23, all Extra XP unspent will be automatically converted to Credits at a rate of 1 Credit for 100 Extra XP.

Also, up until October 23, you can convert Extra XP to Credits at a great rate of 1 Credit for 10 Extra XP.

After that, there will be no Extra XP in the game.

LEADERBOARDS

Four leaderboards apply within the clan system: All Players, Top Players, Extra XP, and the most important: Total Rating.

The first three refresh in real-time, while the Total Rating shows the results at the end of a Clan Season. This last one is refreshed with each Season wrap-up.

At the beginning of each Clan Season, the All Players and Top Players leaderboards are reset.

ALL PLAYERS

The top clans based on points earned by all clan members in the current Season.

The more Season Points all members of your clan collectively earn, the higher your clan will place.

TOP PLAYERS

The top clans based on the play of the 10 most effective players in your clan.

The more points your top 10 members earn, the higher your clan will place on this leaderboard.

The top 10 players of your clan are marked with a special icon in the Clan Members tab.

EXTRA XP

Top clans based on Extra XP spent. This leaderboard applies only in the first Clan Season.

TOTAL RATING

Total Rating is a leaderboard showing clan results over the last Season. The more Reputation a clan earns, the higher it will place.

Based on the Season results, the top 3 clans get special icons displayed next to their tag to show their positions. These icons remain until the next Clan Season wrap-up.
