Hello operators!
In the 1.4.1 update, FAMAS will receive new modules and its own chain of Weapon Objectives. With them, you’ll be able to unlock attachments, experiment with builds, and fine-tune the rifle to suit your playstyle.
We already talked about the rewards for MK18 earlier, and today we’ll take a closer look at what’s in store for FAMAS owners.
Since FAMAS was released, we’ve been reviewing your feedback and watching how the rifle performs in combat.
Some players appreciated FAMAS’s high rate of fire and strong close-range potential. At the same time, the feedback also included other requests: making the rifle more effective at mid-range, reducing recoil, speeding up reloads, and adding a three-shot burst-fire mode.
We took these requests into account when preparing the new modules: as you progress through the chain of Weapon Objectives, you’ll gradually unlock new build options and see for yourself how FAMAS behaves differently in combat.
The new modules for FAMAS include two magazines, two grips, a laser designator, a flashlight, and a heavy barrel. Each of them changes how the rifle behaves in combat in its own way, affecting recoil, reload speed, accuracy, handling, or effectiveness at different ranges.
The increased effective range noticeably changes how FAMAS plays: the rifle becomes more effective not only in point-blank engagements, but also at mid-range.
Reduced spread while aiming makes bursts more accurate. It’s easier to keep the target under fire, fewer bullets miss, and FAMAS feels more stable and predictable overall.
This magazine is for those who want more damage and armor penetration. It makes FAMAS deadlier, but it also requires a bit more control when firing, so it performs best at close range, where it’s important to capitalize on the increased damage and armor penetration quickly.
At the same time, the increased effective range also leaves room for a more precise playstyle at a distance: the reduced rate of fire makes the firing rhythm more controlled, and short bursts become easier to handle.
This noticeably changes FAMAS’s firing rhythm. With this module, the rifle fires in 3-shot bursts instead of regular full-auto fire.
If you hold down the fire button, the rifle will keep firing in bursts with short pauses between them. This makes firing more predictable and helps you control the weapon better at mid-range.
This magazine is especially useful if you want a more controlled rate of fire, lower recoil, and better control when firing short bursts.
An additional bonus is the increased reload speed.
A good choice for close and mid-range combat. Reduced horizontal recoil helps keep the barrel from pulling to the side, while lower spread makes bursts tighter, especially when you need to quickly finish off a target or keep an enemy in your sights.
It helps you start firing more accurately and makes it easier to keep your sights on target. Reduced first-shot recoil is especially useful in situations where it’s important to aim quickly and land your first shots right away.
This module pairs well with builds where it’s important to compensate for increased recoil, for example when using the 30-round 5.56 mm MK262 magazine.
It improves hip-fire performance by reducing spread. This is useful for aggressive builds where quick reactions at close range matter and you don’t want to waste time aiming.
This module pairs well with both the base magazine and the 30-round 5.56 mm MK262 magazine.
It helps make FAMAS more stable at mid-range. Reduced spread while aiming lets you engage targets more confidently, while lower spread during sustained fire helps more bullets land when spraying.
Weapon Objectives for FAMAS will become available with the update for all players who already have this rifle. If you get FAMAS later, the objective chain will unlock automatically.
All new modules are unlocked by completing objectives, with no randomness, timers, or separate unlock requirements. This also applies to Legendary modules: you’ll be able to get them by completing Weapon Objectives for FAMAS as well.
The objectives themselves are tied to the modules’ features. They don’t just lead to rewards — they also help you understand how the rifle changes and in which situations a new attachment is especially useful.
For example, the quick-detach magazine increases reload speed and switches FAMAS to 3-shot burst-fire mode. That’s why one of the objectives asks you to eliminate enemies shortly after reloading: this makes it easier to feel the weapon’s new rhythm and appreciate how much faster the rifle gets back into the fight.
If you haven’t unlocked FAMAS yet, you can get it in the Arsenal: FAMAS Clan Battle Pass. In it, FAMAS is available for 14 operators, so you’ll be able to prepare for the Weapon Objectives in advance.
The Battle Pass will be available until September 23.
The new modules will give FAMAS more versatility in combat. You’ll be able to build the rifle not only for its usual close-range engagements, but also for more confident mid-range performance, better control of short bursts, hip-fire, or a new combat rhythm with 3-shot bursts.
Try different attachments, adapt your builds to your needs, and see how FAMAS performs in combat. And once the update is out, share your thoughts — we’d love to know which modules and combinations you end up liking the most.
