From August 31 to September 14, Caliber will host New Perspective game marathon. This is a limited-time event in which all players with account level 11+ can participate. The goal of marathon participants is to earn event currency and use it to buy unique items and advance in the best players ranking.
During this event, you can play Caliber in first-person mode.
In Showdown: First Person mode, the first-person camera is set for all players and cannot be changed. However, standard Showdown mode will remain available for selection.
In all other modes, players will be able to change the camera at will. By default, [K] key will toggle the camera. Despite this mode is temporary, some things will remain in Caliber after the event ends.
Now aiming a secondary weapon will be in first person. One exception will be the HD66 of Yàowáng the Medic from the Jiaolong Chinese collection.
During New Perspective marathon, two types of temporary currency are introduced into Caliber: Tokens and Tickets.
Tokens are given as an additional reward for battles in Showdown: First Person mode. Their number depends on the match outcome:
Thus, a full victory in Showdown: First Person gets you 40 Tokens.
A Ticket multiplies the reward for winning tenfold. If a player has at least one Ticket, it is deducted from the account automatically after a victory in the match and multiplies the reward.
For players having Tickets, victory brings 400 Tokens.
If you desert from the battle, you will not earn Tokens regardless of the result of the match.
Tickets are earned by one for every third victory in most game modes:
Victories in modes stack. For example, you can win two Clearings and one Special Operation and get a Ticket. In addition, you will receive one Ticket for each completed daily task.
Tickets can also be purchased for Coins in the Armory starting from September 7th. There, they are sold in sets of 10.
As soon as the Armory is closed, Tokens and Tickets will be automatically convert into Credits:
The main event item that is available for Tokens, is the new Vigor Epic Outfit for Mikołaj the Medic. Among other items are Camos, Emotes, Emblems, Execution, Materials Supplies, Free XP, Resource and Booster Kits.
Boosters were significantly upgraded since Update 0.16.0: Experience Booster gets you +120% XP to net battle rewards, Credits Booster brings +150% Credits to net battle rewards. This marathon’s Armory allows to purchase them.
If a player buys from Armory a Customization Item that they already own, a compensation system will be applied. This is one of the few ways that allows you to get Fragments. Details.
All rewards of New Perspective event are temporarily exclusive. They cannot be acquired in any other way for several months. However, the Armory will be open for another week after the end of the marathon.
During New Perspective marathon, all players automatically participate in the best players ranking according to the number of Tokens earned. The minimum number of Tokens required to get into the ranking is 1400.
The ranking takes into account the number of Tokens earned by a player. That is, Token expenses do not lower your position in the ranking in any way.
By earning Tokens, the player moves up the ranking and receives rewards for new places: Coins, Credits, Free XP, days of Premium Time, XP Boosters, and Credit Boosters. The reward is credited instantly upon reaching any prize place.
Once on one of the three tops of the rating — thousandth, hundredth and tenth places, the player receives a unique event emblem:
