An updated PvP version of Village map will appear in the next update. We’ve changed cover and team spawn locations, opened up some passages and areas of the map, moved capture zones in Showdown and servers in Hacking.
A wall of columns and gates was added to the top line at the attacking team’s side. This will help to move more safely; previously, this route was easily shot from the bridge and the balcony by the defense team.
Now, it’s possible to cut a path through the area near the building shown in the illustration. We removed the railing and added a pile of sand to allow easy climbing up.
The balcony in the center of the map has become less protected. Now, there is a passage convenient for both teams to use at the defending team’s side.
Previously, the wall was only an obstacle. Now, it becomes a full-fledged game object. We have added wall climbs on both sides to help players move between lines faster.
The geometry and appearance of the Server A room have transformed dramatically. Now it’s possible to get into the building by climbing the car near it.
The area where Server B and capture zone C are located has expanded with a whole new building. The server itself is indoors now.
Previously, the defense team could control Server B at the gate near the spawn point. Now, some indestructible objects were added to this area.
To improve balance, we have revised covers. We have removed some of the destructible objects and the corner of the barrel-holding structure, which gave quite a notable advantage.
A car has been added to the square by the balcony, which can be a good strongpoint for both teams.
In the central part of the patio, there was another too effective cover. We removed a part of it, thus exposing the flank.
Player spawn points were changed and capture zones adjusted in Showdown. New areas of the map will help shake the game up in the mode.
All these changes will help players get a fresh experience from playing the Village map in PvP modes. Next in line is the PvE version of the map.
